2nd Annual
Huntington Sustainability Fair
May 21st @ Wild Ramp, 10AM-4PM

On Saturday, May 21st, in Huntington's Central City, we will be hosting the 2nd Annual Huntington Sustainability Fair.  This year, the fair will be held at The Wild Ramp and the Charles Holley Gazebo.  This event will once again be free and open to the public.

The Huntington Sustainability Fair project is a cooperative effort by Sustainable Living for WV, the Marshall University Sustainability Department, the Wild Ramp, the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, the Old Central City Association, Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District, Tour DePATH and many more.

PARTICIPANTS WANTED: Area crafts persons, artisans, farmers/growers, organizations, businesses and more are invited to participate in our event. We charge a very nominal fee of $20 to set-up a booth. These funds will help us fund this and next year's event. To participate in our event, visit:

VOLUNTEERS: We need you! The community is encouraged to take part. "We are in great need of helping hands leading up to and on the day of the fair." - Eve Marcum-Atkinson. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit:

Tour DePATH will again offer their annual bike ride along the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health. This year, they are meeting at 10am at the Sustainability Fair in Central City. The Marshall University Cycling Club will lead three route options: 4 miles, 10 miles, and 26 miles. There is no fee, and community cyclists of all ages are invited to participate. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Coordinators Denise Poole and Eve Marcum-Atkinson encourage everyone to come learn, listen to live local music, and have fun.

“We have many participating organizations and groups confirmed, offering workshops, hands-on demonstrations, and exhibits on sustainable issues. There will also be live music, artisans, and family friendly activities.” – Denise Poole.

“We are very excited to have partnered with Tour DePATH again this year. And, the Wild Ramp and the Old Central City Association have welcomed our event into the west end. We look to have the fair at new locations each year, to help showcase all the many sustainable efforts occurring in our region.” – Eve Marcum-Atkinson.
