The event was a success! Except for a bit of rain, we had a wonderful time at Heritage Station. Evening bands will return on June 27th for the second half of our fair's entertainment, which had to be postponed due to thunderstorms.

On Saturday, May 16th , in Downtown Huntington at Heritage Station, we will be hosting a Sustainability Fair, Huntington’s first. The 2015 Sustainability Fair project is a cooperative effort by Sustainable Living for WV, Marshall University Sustainability Department, Create Huntington volunteers through the Living Local project, the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District, Tour DePATH and many more.

UPDATE: Goodwill Industries of KYOVA will be hosting a free Technology Recycling station. Most any type of electronic computer related device can be recycled, including monitors (TV's will NOT be accepted). So bring your old phones, computers, and other “old tech”, then come enjoy the fair.

VOLUNTEERS: We need you! The community is encouraged to take part.
"We are in great need of helping hands leading up to and on the day of the fair." - Eve Marcum-Atkinson.

Coordinators Eve Marcum-Atkinson and Denise Poole encourage everyone to come learn, listen to live local music, and have fun.

“We have many participating organizations and groups confirmed, offering presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and exhibits on sustainable issues. There will also be live music, artisans, and family friendly
activities.” – Denise Poole.

“And we are very excited to have partnered with Tour DePATH, which will be a major draw, as will be the amazing musicians who will be performing all day and into the evening. Closing our event will be even more
live music from 6-11PM. You can’t help but have fun at Huntington’s first Sustainability Fair.” – Eve Marcum-Atkinson.

It was a big success! So much fun. Our local musicians really packed the place on a cold evening, and then there was that unanticipated parade down 4th avenue that kind of made parking a pain. Big hugs to all who managed to navigate the chaos and help support all things local, musical, and green.

We're hosting a Green Jam Fundraiser on December 13th, to help fund our 2015 Sustainability Fair.
